1. Program Goals:
The post-graduate program in Pediatric Dentistry is developed to provide dentists with skill and knowledge to efficiently deliver a comprehensive oral health care for children and adolescents. It also includes care for children beyond the age of adolescent who demonstrate physical, mental, and emotional problems.
The course addresses the following areas: the guidance of human behavior, diagnosis, preventive, operative, endodontic and prosthodontic measures for infants, children, teenagers, and medically compromised individuals. The program is expanded to include the management of related oral surgery, growth and development problems recognized to be within the realm of pediatric dentistry.
2. Program Objectives:
At the end of this program, the graduate student will gain the highest professional knowledge relevant to science and practice of pediatric dentistry as well as the clinical experience which enable him / her to accomplish the following tasks:
1.Provide the child community with efficient and superior comprehensive oral health care.
2.Participate efficiently in judgment and decision making in the dynamic health care system.
3.Establish a preventively oriented dental practice at the individual and community levels.
4.Develop research expertise which enables him/her to conduct independent scientific research.
5.Meet the challenge of continual advancement of the profession through participation in continuing education which helps inhis / her professional maturation.

BDS Overall Grade - Good
Pediatric Dentistry - Very Good
Finish Pediatric Internship

Master of Science in Pediatric Dentistry (M.Sc.)
Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry
5. Program Structure:
This program will run as a yearly program for THREE academic years of full time formal training. It will normally commence in September and end by June of the third academic year of the University.
The program is designed to consist of the following parts.
1.Biodental and Biomedical Courses (i.e. The Core Course).
2.Specialty Courses
3.Advanced Specialty Courses
4.Research leading to Thesis
The Biodental and Biomedical Courses constitute the core course which is common to all the specialty programs of the Faculty of Dentistry.. The rest of the courses in Pedodontics or Pediatric Dentistry is described in the following text.
