Dental Assistant Diploma

As the demand for dental care assistance is on the increase worldwide and in order to help dentists provide better services for their patients, the need for training dental auxiliaries has arisen. Hence, the Faculty of Dentistry has introduced the Dental Auxiliary Diploma in 2001-2002 with a view of making up for the severe shortage of dental auxiliaries and keeping up with the rapid advancement of dental technologies.

Objectives of the Dental Auxiliary Diploma:

1. Promoting the Saudi oral and dental health infrastructure.

2. Continuing with the relevant dental activities to support the dentistry profession, address its needs and face future challenges.

3. Training and qualifying dental auxiliaries to meet the rising demand for them in KSA.

It is worth mentioning that Saudi Arabia has witnessed a significant progress in the oral and dental health services in recent years.
