About the Library

 The mission of the Dental information Center is to facilitate access to all forms of information in order to promote dental education, research and patient care at the school of dental medicine at King Abdul-Aziz University and in the western region of the Kingdom.

Established in 2002, Dental Information Center has over 700 printed books classified into 16 categories.

It maintains subscriptions to more than 2555 Journals among which 54 exclusive dental journals. The Library contains more than a dozen public access computer workstations linked to the IT center and the world via the Internet, 2 television monitors for videotape viewing are also available. The DIC is on its way for building E-Library  section as of now there is 25 e-books 43 educational DVD's + CD's.

For extensive bibliographic searches, students and staff have access to PubMed, a collection of databases including MEDLINE from the National Library of Medicine; Web of Science from the Institute of Scientific Information; Science Direct and Black Well Synergy.

Currently, the library is undergoing massive construction to enrich its contents.
