THE EFFECTIVENESS OF SOME TOOTH BRUSHING METHODS AMONG CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS IN PLAQUE CONTROL

Abstract : The effectiveness of horizontal scrub, circular scrub and Fones methods of toothbrushing by professiona l denial personal in removing denial plaque was studied in 120 subjects representing children and adolescents. The participants were divided into 2 equal groups (60 in each): according to their age. An interaction between method of brushing and brusher was found: illustrating tha t no one method was clearly most effective in plaque control. Moreover, the individual variations might be considered as a pivotal factor in such studies.
