Abstract : The purpose of this study was to develop an index ratio between the facial width ( Bi-Zyg. ) and facial length (Ne-Me) in YOlmgadults with balanced faces and normal occlusion . The sample consisted of 31 posteroanterior cephalometric radiographs for 17 females and 14 males with average age of 18 years. The P-A cephalograms were traced and digitized. Bi-Zygomatic width and facial length (Ne-Me) were recorded. This study provides an index ratio for W / L in both males and females to differentiate between narrow & long faces and between wide & short faces.
