Dental Assistance Bachelor Degree


Introduction:

The Dental Assistant Diploma program started in 2001 and it has proved during its ten years its success. The program infrastructure, its academic faculty, advanced educational means and the distinguished scientific level of its students had been highly praised.

Launching from the desire of the Ministry of Higher Education and in concordance with the Mission of King Abdul Aziz University to develop its educational and health programs, a program that awards a Bachelor Degree in Dental Assistance Specialization has been established. It joins between practical training and modern theoretical sciences as well as research training.

Preparing distinguished and qualified dental assistants who are able to work with the dental team according to international criteria.


Mission:

  • To prepare students to have a distinguished personality with scientific and practical skills that will enable them to lead and compete in the business market within a framework of committing to ethics and Islamic values.
  • To provide students with modern knowledge, technology and research methods.
  • To enable graduates to practice according to the highest standards of quality and perfection.

Objectives:

  • To educate and train students to be capable of assisting during all dental treatment procedures.
  • To train students to be able to integrate with the members of the dental team and develop communications skills with the patients and those who follow up.
  • To train students to use modern instruments, materials and equipment used in dentistry.

 


Program Admission Requirements:

  • The student average in the preparatory year must not be less than Very Good.
  • Selection of candidates will be based on the highest scores (GPA) and the number of available places in the faculty.

Graduation Requirements:

The student must complete 121 credits distributed over four academic years followed by a compulsory training period of nine months.
