Dental Hygiene Bachelor's Degree 


Introduction:

The Faculty of Dentistry at King Abdul Aziz University is keen on keeping up with all the latest innovations in the dental sciences by innovating training programs that award a Bachelor Degree in various dental sciences. Since dental hygiene is one of these sciences and the nation is in urgent need for qualified professionals, this program is established to award a bachelor degree in Oral Hygiene.

After completing the preparatory year (science branch), the student studies three academic years, which include dental courses, ethics, intensive courses in dental hygiene and scientific research methods.

Preparing nationally distinguished qualified professionals of dental hygienist according to the international criteria and business market requirements. This specialty will be a model in all education fields, community services, and scientific research.

  • To provide the best level of care for the community by implementing awareness programs and providing proper services for oral hygiene.
  • To teach students the different methods of scientific research in order to be able to enhance the scientific research in this field in the future.

Program Admission Requirements:

  • The student average in the preparatory year must not be less than Very Good.
  • Selection of candidates will be based on the highest scores (GPA) and the number of available places in the faculty.

Graduation Requirements:

The student must complete 126 credits distributed over four academic years followed by a compulsory training period for nine months.
